What is parent coaching?
Parent coaching offers practical support and guidance to help you understand your child’s ADHD, manage daily challenges, and create a calmer, more connected home environment.
Is parent coaching about being told how to parent?
No. Parent coaching is collaborative and non-judgemental. It supports you to find strategies that align with your values, your child’s needs, and your family life.
My child already has support at school – will this still help?
Yes. Parent coaching focuses on challenges at home, such as routines, emotional outbursts, homework, and family relationships, and helps create consistency between home and school where possible.
What can parent coaching help with?
Support may include:
- Managing emotional and behavioural challenges
- Establishing routines and boundaries
- Improving communication and connection
- Reducing parental stress and overwhelm
- Understanding ADHD and its impact
Will you work directly with my child?
Parent coaching focuses on supporting parents. Where appropriate, I may also offer 1:1 ADHD coaching for children or liaise with schools.
How long does parent coaching last?
Support can be short-term or ongoing, depending on your goals. Progress is reviewed regularly and adjusted as needed.
What ages do you work with?
I support parents of both children and teenagers, tailoring support to each child’s stage and needs.
How do I get started?
You can get in touch to discuss your concerns and explore whether parent coaching is the right fit for your family.
