Children Age 5 – 8

Building a strong foundation for growth and connection. The early years are full of discovery, but for children with ADHD, everyday life can sometimes feel extra challenging- for both the child and the parent. Coaching at this stage is designed to support both of you.

Emotional regulation, helping children learn to manage big feelings like frustration, anger, or disappointment. By developing calming strategies and exploring their emotions, young children gain the tools to move from chaos to calm.

Routines are another focus. Morning and bedtime struggles, getting dressed, or even bath time can quickly turn into battles. Together, we create clear and predictable routines that build independence for your child and reduce stress for the whole family.

Social skills are also key at this age. Playdates, group activities, and early friendships can feel overwhelming or end in tears. Coaching provides children with simple, practical ways to share, take turns, and problem-solve so they can feel more confident connecting with peers.

Children Age 9 – 12

Friendships and independence begin to play a big role during the pre-teen years, but navigating these changes can be tough for a child with ADHD. Coaching at this stage focuses on strengthening social skills so your child can learn that friendship is a two-way street. Together, we work on the give-and-take of relationships – sharing, listening, and respecting others’ perspectives – so they can feel more confident with peers.

Behaviour management by helping both you and your child establish clear expectations, firm boundaries, and consistent follow-through. This creates a more predictable home environment where your child feels safe, understood, and supported.

Executive functioning skills such as organisation and time management. From remembering homework to keeping track of belongings, your child will learn strategies that promote independence and reduce daily battles.
